Down By the Bay

This is from the rather crowded beach a few hours from Ningbo. It reminded me a lot of Mumbles in Wales.

We drove with our friend’s family to a beach called Xiàngshān (“tsh-ah-ng schee-ian”) in Cíxī (“suh-shee”). We got to see a team windsurfing and sailing, and all I could think was “It’s so much warmer here than it was in Wales.”

China’s coast regions are particularly beautiful, and I definitely enjoyed the scenery today. We also went with a family friend, and got to see a traditional Chinese village kitchen. The lady (below) made us some amazing vegetable bread that happened to be green.

The wok that this woman is using is being heated by a fire underneath it. She inserts kindling into the back of the stove to keep it running.
