AUC.

Left Top: Heba and me at AUC.
Left Bottom: (L to R) Shady, Hadeer (Heba’s sister), Hadeer’s coworker and friend, and me.
Right: I couldn’t resist putting another plane picture because Cairo was so dry and interesting to fly into.

When I arrived in Cairo, my friend Heba picked me up at the airport and we made our way to the American University in Cairo (AUC) to see her roommate, Radwa, and our friend Shady. Shady gave us a tour of campus, and we left to bring our things to the apartment we would stay in for the week (with Heba’s friends Reem, Iman, and Salma). After, we met up with Heba’s sister, Hadeer, and ate Shuerma (salty, ground beef with rice (I had something similar in Istanbul)) at a restaurant overlooking the Nile.

“Since I have been longing for many years to see you, I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.” ~Romans 15:23-24
